Proceeds go to Hope for Haiti Now, a fund within the Entertainment Industry Foundation who will distribute donations to 7 major charities working in Haiti.

Innertube racing requires a 100L or more donation payable to the Virtual Haiti Relief kiosk at the time of the race and there will be a prize awarded to the 1st to touch the Molaskey’s Pub beach stage. Arrive early and familiarize yourself with the course. Concerts will begin at 5:00 pm slt at the beach stage (finish line) so stay and enjoy that.

Meet organizations working in Haiti Relief: Institute for Justice & Democracy in Haiti (IJDH), Ushahidi collaborative mapping tools and representatives from many organizations within the Nonprofit Commons. This is a special edition of our regular Friday morning meeting open to the public at Plush Nonprofit Commons amphitheatre. Join us all weekend for the Haiti Benefit Festival starting at this speaking discussion event.

The Nonprofit Commons hosts over 100 organizations from around the world including vital NGOs helping in Haiti. We will be talking to friends who are working to provide relief on the ground, including Riversong Garden of Partners for Others who is coordinating container shipments into Haiti. Speakers with experience in providing crisis relief services are especially welcome to join this conversation & presentation at our Friday morning Nonprofit meeting.

A 100L entry fee will be given to VirtualHaiti to enter this innertube race. Starting line is at Wonderful Evenings (See slurl). Finish line is the beach stage at Molaskey’s Pub. A prize will be given to 1st place. Then at 5 pm slt there will be 3 concerts at Molaskey’s!

This is a Charity Ball with donations being accepted for Hope For Haiti Now Charity. The ball will feature three musicians Matthew Perreault from 7-8pm, Shu hax from 8-9pm, and Bowie Bravin from 9-10pm. The ball will be held on the Health Commons sim of the NonProfit Commons. This is a formal dress ball.

MMIF 2010′ is the second edition of an annual film festival in 3D cyberspace with a screening in physical space (‘RL’). A seven hour movie marathon with a two hour afterparty. MMIF 2010 can also be followed on the web via live stream broadcasts.

The MMIF is a celebration of ‘Machinima’: a new cinematic art form, created with virtual worlds and video games. On 3D Internet platforms like Second Life®, any kind of movie sets can be build for very low costs. The MMIF aims to bring machinima to a wider audience, online – and offline. Machinima artists from all over the world are present in real time at the virtual MMIF Theatre. They present over 50 short films and have talks with other machinimatographers and an international audience.

Maniacs Playground is a Photography Studio, but also a Store for some. We are going to have people donate to the Haiti Relief to raise the Haiti Funds. We will give off the Haiti T-Shirts for free for those who attend. ALSO, those who donate 100L or more during the event will be able to take one free pic at my photography. If you decide to donate more and more over 100L during the event, you will recieve three free pics that are going to be taken at Maniacs Playground Studios!=^.^=

Hussyettes for Haiti is a dime a dance fundraiser and auction hosted at Big Boss Blues.  The Hussyettes are a group of chorusline dancers who are donating their time and tips to the relief effort.  Four live DJ’s, silent auctioni and lots of door prizes.
